History and Present Status of the Uniontown Heronry
The purposes of this paper are to (1) report on the status and composition of a large inland heronry located near Uniontown , Perry County, Alabama, (2) present
a brief history of heronries in this area, and (3) comment on some conservation
measures needed (or the management of in land wading bird breeding colonies.
