The Great (or European) Cormorant, A New Bird Species for Alabama

The Great Cormorant, Phalacrocoray carbo, like the Cattle Egret is widely distributed Old World species that appears to be establishing itself successfully in the Americas. In Eurasia, this cormorant occurs, breeding as far south as South Africa and Australia.
