During the last year, the committee completed a review of substantially the full list of species for Alabama and Northwest Florida at an afternoon-night meeting on March 3, 1973, at the home of Bob and Elberta Reid in Birmingham. Out of a list that now totals approximately 384 species, the committee has selected one or more slides for 240. Slide reproductions authorized for the scientific and educational sets thus far number 486, which, at the rate of the .25 per slide partial reimbursement provided for in the rules under which the committee operates, represents a financial commitment of $121.50.
