1994 spring and summer sightings

Published in 1995

Spring migration this year was like a school reunion: there was a moderate turnout of old friends, and just enough surprises to keep things lively. Summer birding, the domain of the hardy and diligent, produced a smattering of engaging finds. Temperatures in the spring were normal until May, which was cool. Precipitation was increased in March and mildly decreased in April and May.
