Finding Accommodations on Dauphin Island

Dauphin Island is a birding hotspot that draws birders from all over the US and beyond.  The Alabama Ornithological Society always holds its spring and fall meetings on the island.  As the first land (or last) between Alabama and the Yucatan Peninsula, it’s a great place to observe the twice-yearly migration of birds across the Gulf of Mexico.  If you’re planning to attend an AOS meeting, it’s a good idea to book your accommodations on the island well ahead of time, as choices on this small island are limited.  Available accommodations range from vacation beach houses to motel rooms to tent camping–here is a resource list:
