Alabama is blessed with a rich diversity of habitats for birds, and hence we have a large variety of bird species coming and going throughout the year.  Alabama is also blessed with a good many dedicated and knowledgeable birders who enjoy observing the changing birdlife of the state, and who also enjoy sharing their knowledge with others.  Everyone who is interested in birds is welcome to join one or more of these trips.  If you’re new to birding, please read the information carefully, so you’ll be well prepared.  Field trips are listed by the organization offering the trips.  To see detailed descriptions of the field trips offered as part of the AOS Fall 2018 meeting on Dauphin Island, click here.  Otherwise, please click on one of the links below to access a list:
