Winter 2018 AOS Meeting

January 26, 2018 - January 28, 2018

 

Registration is now closed for the AOS Winter Meeting, to be held this year near St. Marks NWR in Crawfordville, Florida, January 26-28. Owl Researcher Denver Holt will be the Keynote Speaker.  Holt, who is Founder and President of the Owl Research Institute in Montana, will speak about ‘Adaptation in Owls’ at the AOS Saturday night banquet.  Friday field trips are planned to Bald Point State Park and Edward Ball State Park, which includes Wakulla Springs.  Saturday will feature field trips to St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, which is a celebrated hotspot for wintering waterfowl, raptors, shorebirds, etc.   Wakulla Springs will be the destination for Sunday morning’s field trip.

There are 35 rooms blocked for AOS registrants at $77 per night including tax at the Wildwood Inn in Crawfordville. Reservations must be made by January 12th.
