Alabama Ornithological Society is proud to present the First Young Birders’ Meeting.

Cadillac Square on Dauphin Island
9:00 am -12:00 pm
Participants must register for this program.
Activities include:
- Learning how to use binoculars, scopes, and field guides
- How to identify birds
- Discovering bird adaptations
- Recording birds you see with sketches and words in your own bird journal
- Creating bird trading cards
- Identifying the birds at Cadillac Square
Each participant will receive a birding journal and pencil, bird buddy band, and a bird poster. A snack will be provided.
Any child, age 6-17, may register for this FREE event but space is limited. To register, fill out the form below with parental signature and mail to the Mary Frances Stayton, AOS treasurer to reserve a space for this event. Children under 12 years of age must have an adult attend with them. If children are attending the Saturday evening banquet, you must include on the adult registration form payment of $21 for each child who will eat dinner.
